Six months after a chemical spill fouled a vital West Virginia water supply, a fight is brewing over the tons of waste it left behind. Nestlé has reduced 44 percent of waste per ton of product since 2010 in the U.S., and five factory locations reached zero-waste-to-landfill status by the end of 2013, according to the companys recent sustainability report. Air monitors stationed in the Spanish Village neighborhood near the smoldering Bridgeton and radioactive West Lake landfills were stolen.
