Hamburg, Germany's largest city is looking at ways to minimize traffic, bolster public transport, and increase options for pedestrians and cyclists. The plan also calls for a steady phase-out of vehicles in Hamburg's city center throughout the next two decades.
Reducing the number of vehicles in city centers (if not completely removing them) is now a hot topic with urban planners, especially in Europe. Though the idea is gaining momentum in New York City as well.
