Mounted under FARO Focus(3D) laser scanner, FARO BIM Scan Localizer makes continuous 2D scans to provide detailed registration information. Functionality removes need for reference targets in overlap zones by users executing interior Building Information Modeling (BIM) scans. While moving laser scanner from one location to another, scan localizer tracks laser scanner's location; 3D scans are stitched together to provide complete interior building scan.
