568,000 Saorview receivers sold in run-up to Ireland's digital TV switchover

According to Independent.ie, 550,000 new televisions were sold in the 18 months preceding the switch-off of Ireland's analogue TV signal. 335,000 of the TVs had integrated tuners for reception of the replacement Saorview digital terrestrial TV service.
