To minimize energy consumption, IMPULSE•D+ Active Front End Regeneration Unit captures surplus regenerative energy from motor that would normally be expended by resistors and returns it to AC power source. System is designed to minimize line harmonics below IEEE 519 requirements while regulating consistent DC bus voltage. With 230 V class rated from 5–150 hp and 460 V class rated to 450 hp, IMPULSE•D+ is suited for applications that include high demand braking cycle and adjustable speed.
