ADEQ tells landfill owners to forfeit $2.4M

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality served notice Thursday that it plans to take more than $2.4 million from the Ozark Mountain Regional Solid Waste Management District because of the district's continuing failure to keep adequate funding for future maintenance of its landfill in north Baxter County.
