Tamper-resistant in compliance with NEC requirements, SmartlockPro® OBC AFCI Receptacle offers protection from arc-faults that may lead to electrical fires resulting from damage in branch circuit wiring as well as extensions to branches such as appliances and cord sets. Unit functions by de-energizing circuit downstream of device upon which arc-fault is detected. Reset/lockout automatically tests AFCI every time RESET button is pushed and will not reset if circuit is not functioning properly.
