AIA mourns loss of former Rep. Isaac N. "Ike" Skelton (D-Mo), a dedicated servant of his Missouri constituents and the American people. First elected to Congress in 1976, Skelton served for 34 years. From 1998 to 2006, he was Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Chairman from 2006 to 2010. Skelton was a true guardian of the armed forces, making sure they had state-of-the-art equipment and protective gear when going into harm’s way.
