Summary An experienced AOCS Engineer with relevant experience to support implementation of hardware software for ESA missions. Objective To provide technical support to ESA projects in design, development, and verification of AOCS for new projects. The engineer will also have opportunity to support novel research projects. Responsibilities Within the Control Systems and Sensors Section of the Control Systems Division, the Engineer will Provide technical support to ESA projects in design, development, and verification of AOCS for Earth Observation, Scientific, Navigation or Telecom projects Participate in reviews and performing analysessimulations. Support sensor and actuator procurement in ESA satellite programmes Participate in reviews, identify deficiencies, implement solutions and develop test equipment In addition, may support the AOCS hardware sensorsactuators procurement in ESA satellite programmes as well as contribute to AOCS hardware and technology development and laboratory activities in the frame of RD contracts Experience The candidate shall have MSc or equivalent in a related field A minimum of 4 years relevant AOCS experience A solid technical background HW knowledge sensors, computer, actuators AOCS AIT at subsystem and system level Proven knowledge of commercial modelbased design tools MATLAB Ability to interface with industry Exposure to relevant ECSS quality standards would be beneficial Qualities The candidate shall be able to operate in a team environment Be enthusiastic and shall have good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills Proactive attitude to solving problems Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early.
