ASTM International presented Tony Allen, state geotechnical engineer at Washington State DoT in Olympia, with L. David Suits Award, which recognizes individuals who have shown extensive commitment to geosynthetic field through exemplary contributions that significantly grow knowledge, testing, testing equipment, or products. Allen specializes in geotechnical engineering, particularly focusing on foundation and wall design, landslides, geosynthetics and geotechnical seismic design.
