ASTM International is launching initiative to develop standards for body armor worn by military and criminal justice personnel. This effort is supported by National Institute of Justice, U.S. Army Program Executive Office – Soldier, and NIST, who are collaborating to harmonize existing ASTM body armor standards, especially test methods, where practical. Proposed standards will be developed by Subcommittee E54.04 on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This story is related to the following:Trade Associations
