Hany Demian, senior biomedical engineer at Center for Devices and Radiological Health, Office of Device Evaluation, at U.S. FDA in Silver Spring, MD received Patrick G. Laing Award for outstanding contributions in medical and surgical devices field. Member of ASTM International and Committee F04 on Medical and Surgical Materials and Devices since 1995, Demian currently serves as F04 general interest vice chairman and secretary of Subcommittee F04.11 on Polymeric Materials.
