ASTM International Committee A01 on Steel, Stainless Steel and Related Alloys presented the Founding Committee Award to William Warke, Ph.D., in recognition of his high level of leadership and exemplary contributions to the development of ASTM steel standards. A member of ASTM since 1966, Warke is an ASTM fellow and Award of Merit recipient. He served as A01 secretary for 6 years, is past chairman of the A01.91 Editorial Subcommittee, and currently serves on multiple subcommittees.
