AT&T working with Chicago, others on smart city tech

AT&T is working with three major cities -- Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas -- on smart city innovations that incorporate Internet of Things technology from seven established vendors, the carrier announced Tuesday. The carrier also said it is developing a digital dashboard to help those cities and others gain a comprehensive look at power outages, water leaks, traffic and more, the carrier said.
