Accomplishments: Implementing U.S. Department of Justice Settlement

Under Mayor Hales leadership the Police Bureau started implementing aspects of the U.S. Department of Justice police reform agreement long before Federal Judge Michael Simon approved it on Aug. 29, 2014. The settlement stems from a 2012 federal investigation. Mayor Hales has been working with the bureau to improve relations with the community.
