Following the official launch of President Obama's Every Kid in a Park initiative, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Managing Director at the White House Council on Environmental Quality Christy Goldfuss hosted the nation's first official 'Every Kid in a Park' event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jewell and Goldfuss joined 65 fourth-grade students from West Preparatory Academy, a Title 1 school serving low-income children in East Las Vegas, at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to go on a hike and distribute some of the first free passes to America's federal lands and waters.
