Agents accused of avoiding 'thorough' building inspectors to push through sales

The Building Officials Institute of New Zealand claims it hears of up to three cases a month where agents steer vendors away from accredited building inspectors. Up to three quarters of homes sold in the heated Wellington market are now going through with vendors supplying a building report, a Harcourts manager has estimated.
