Air NZ plane forced to return

The plane had to burn off fuel, so it flew back through the eastern Bay of Plenty to airspace east of Cape Reinga before returning to Auckland. Flight NZ10, which was supposed to go to Honolulu, left shortly after 11am and landed back in Auckland at 3:23pm.
