On Monday, Alcoa announced its separation into two companies: 1) high growth "value-add" businesses , and; 2) low growth "upstream" businesses. Allegheny Technologies Incorporated also has a "tale of two cities" within its business: 1) the High Performance segment is high growth/margin, and; 2) the Flat rolled Products is a dog.
