2016-05-11 08:31:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Altice reported a fall of 2.7 percent in first-quarter revenue to EUR 4.260 billion, hurt by weakness in its main market France. Revenues were down 6.1 percent to EUR 2.573 billion at SFR in France, while its new US business Suddenlink recorded 9.0 percent higher sales at EUR 570 million. The other international activities grew by 1.3 percent to EUR 1.138 billion. Altice said revenue trends were improving on a sequential basis and it still expects to meet its outlook for 2016 of an improving trend in group revenue on a constant currency basis, mid-single digit growth in adjusted EBITDA and flat to slightly lower operating free cash flow due to accelerated investments. Group adjusted EBITDA was up 0.9 percent in Q1 to EUR 1.615 billion, and operating free cash flow increased 1.1 percent to EUR 899 million.
