Amazon negotiating for Twin Cities distribution center site

Amazon.com is negotiating to buy 66 acres in Shakopee to develop a large distribution center that would need hundreds of employees and possibly more than 1,000 jobs during the peak holiday shipping season. Officials from the Seattle-based Internet retailer Amazon and the land's owner, Bloomington-based United Properties , have not confirmed the talks.
