Ameren's profit rises 11 percent

Ameren Corp. reported a first-quarter profit from continuing operations of $108 million, up from $97 million in the prior-year quarter. "Our first quarter results reflect the benefits of our strategic allocation of capital to jurisdictions with modern, constructive regulatory frameworks," said Warner Baxter , chairman, president and CEO of Ameren Corp., in a statement.
