American Tower completes $5B deal for Verizon communication towers

American Tower, led by CEO James Taiclet, said it completed a deal to take over thousands of Verizon towers for about $5 billion in cash. Boston-based American Tower Corp. said Monday that it completed a deal to take over 11,324 communications towers from Verizon Communications for about $5.1 billion in cash.
