Respectively intended for clinical and home health applications, AFE4490 and AFE4400 come in 6 x 6 mm, 40-pin QFN package and integrate all front end components and associated timing control circuitry of photometry solution. Receive path includes programmable transimpedance amplifier, ambient cancellation circuitry, and ADC, while transmit path incorporates LED driver and programmable 8-bit current source of up to 150 mA. Supply current is less than 1 mA.
