Anatel plans to allocate more frequencies for satellites

(Telecompaper) Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has opened public consultation regarding its proposal to allocate more frequencies to increase the capacity of geostationary satellites. The intention is to allocate 500 MHz + 500 MHz in the 18.1 GHz - 18.6 GHz band for the downlink and 27.9 GHz - 28.4 GHz for uplink exclusively for satellite services.
