(Telecompaper) Apple announced that it has set a new record by selling over 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models in the first three days. The new smartphones were launched in the US and eleven other countries on 25 September. According to CEO Tim Cook, "Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple's history." The company will launch the new phones in over 40 more countries on 9 October, in various Middle Eastern countries on 10 October and in India, Malaysia and Turkey on 16 October. The new smartphones will be on sale in over 130 countries by the end of the year.
