2013-04-02 04:03:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) The chief executive of Apple, Tim Cook, has bowed to increasing pressure in China over its warranty policies and has apologised, Xinhua reports. "We are deeply sorry for any concern or misunderstanding for the idea that Apple disregards or pays inadequate attention to the feedback of Chinese consumers," a statement signed by Cook on the Apple China website reads. The China Consumer's Association (CCA) asked Apple to apologise and correct the warranty issues while the State Administration for Industry and Commerce recently urged local authorities to enhance legal supervision over Apple's warranty policies. Chinese state-owned media have been lashing out at Apple claiming its warranty policies are not as good in China as in other countries.
