(Telecompaper) Apple confirmed at WWDC15 that it will launch its Apple Pay mobile payment platform in the UK in July. The company said that it will be backed by banks providing nearly 70 percent of the UK's credit and debit cards, including Lloyds Bank, HSBC and Bank of Scotland. TechRadar writes that although Apple did not announce the next countries where it will rollout out Apple Pay, Canada and China are rumoured to be next. Apple is also renaming the Passbook app where Apple Pay resides to Wallet.
