Apple seeks to stop China ban on phones with software updates

2018-12-14 10:39:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Apple has said it will roll out software updates next week for some of its iPhone models, Reuters reported. The move comes after a court in China granted Qualcomm's request for two preliminary injunctions regarding two patents. The decision means Apple may face a court ban in the country for its iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Apple said the software updates will "address any possible concern about our compliance with the order."
