(Telecompaper) Apple announced it sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones in the first three days the new devices were available for sale. The latest iPhones launched 19 September in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK. They will be available in more than 20 additional countries from 26 September and in 115 countries by the end of the year. Apple CEO Tim Cook said the first weekend of sales surpassed the company's expectations, breaking all its previous sales records by a large margin. He noted however that demand outstripped supply, and the company is working to ramp up production in order to meet all the orders as quickly as possible.
