(Telecompaper) Apple has confirmed plans to introduce a 128GB iPad. Based on the latest, fourth-generation iPad with Retina display, the new tablet will be available in Wi-Fi and cellular versions. With twice the storage as its previous version, Apple is hoping the new iPad will attract business users dealing with large files, especially those in the media and design industries or providing training and sales support. Apple claims that "virtually all" of the Fortune 500 and over 85 percent of the Global 500 companies are currently deploying or testing the iPad. The specifications of the 128GB iPad will be the same as the rest of the fourth-generation range, including a 9.7-inch display and LTE access, plus the just-launched iOS 6.1. The device will go on sale 05 February, in black or white, for USD 799 for the Wi-Fi only version and USD 929 for the Wi-Fi and cellular model.
