It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for an Astroterra Operation Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Functional Avionics Engineering and Lead department. The Spot 6 and Spot 7 satellites Astroterra project, the property of Airbus GEO, are operated by an Airbus DS team which is part of the Functional Chains management, and this from a control centre at an Airbus DS site. This team is responsible for the correct operation of the Control Ground Segment CGS, for the correct operation in flight of the Spot 6 and Spot 7 satellites, and the daily loading of the mission plans elaborated by GEO. Within an Operation Engineer team, and under the authority of the Astroterra Large System Operation architect, you will participate in these routine operations and in the continuous improvement programme of CGS and associated operations. In this context, your tasks will include Ensuring the quality of service required by the GEO customer in routine operational mode of the Spot 6 and Spot 7 satellites, Maintaining and improving Flight Operational Procedures Elisa sequences and interfacing with the Azaleo team, Keeping the SIS database DB uptodate formalising configuration management and DB change procedures, performing updates, if necessary, and interfacing with the DB and Azaleo teams, Maintaining simulators SATSIM guaranteeing the representativity of onboard software and performing updates, if necessary, mastering the differences between Spot 67 and interfacing with the SATSIM and Azaleo teams, Participating in the skill maintenance plan, in particular by defining nominal and degraded QO tests to be played by the CGS team using the satellite simulator SATSIM, Participating in the improvement of the paper operational procedures Operational Procedure Sheet and stack Operational Executional Stack by interfacing with the Azaleo team, Participating in routine operations escalating daily plans, specific manoeuvres Orbit Control Manoeuvres, Providing support to the GEO customer interface and the SSC interface according to the request, Supporting periodic or exceptional activities requested by the in condition operational maintenance manager, With the Large System Operation architect, ensuring the proper sharing of tasks within all of the Operation and Astroterra teams CGS maintenance and CGS operators, Taking part in the annual Feedback Experience REX. This role will sometimes involve weekend oncall duty. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Engineering diploma or equivalent, 3 years of experience in IVV software andor system activities with initial experience in operations e.g. taking part in a LEOP, Ideally, you will have Knowledge of the Elisa language, Knowledge of satellite simulators SATSIM, Knowledge of the SIS tools used for the DB, Knowledge of the design of AS250 avionics, Good team player skills Adaptabilityflexibility, Advanced level of English and French.
