The Australian market looks set to open markedly lower after Wall Street fell more than one-and-a-half per cent. Locally, in economic news on Friday, Reserve Bank of Australia's head of payments policy department, Tony Richards, is slated to speak at the Chicago Payments Symposium in Chicago.
