Designed to enable first range lock up, maximize lock up operation, and operate at lower engine speeds in higher ranges to improve fuel economy, B3400 xFE™ fully automatic bus transmission incorporates optimized gear ratios coupled with FuelSense® Max package. Gear ratios promote fuel economy in start-stop dense, low-average speed duty cycles, such as those experienced by transit and city buses, and transmission is also compatible with alternative fuel engines.
