Earnings of $2.51 per share and revenue of $1.853 billion came in ahead of the Street's consensus , which called for earnings of $2.38 per share and sales of $1.85 billion. Analysts led by Mark Lipacis pointed out that the third-quarter results and fourth-quarter outlook widely beat expectations on the earnings front, mainly on the back of better gross margins driven by high utilization.
