BIO has long been a supporter of the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit program and commended Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for deciding to halt movement on several proposals in the Medicare Part D draft rule. They include: proposal to eliminate protected class status for certain drug classes, proposal to reduce the number of Part D plans a particular plan sponsor may offer, and proposal to clarify non-interference provisions.
