BIO thanked Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for announcing advanced biofuel procurement opportunities through Farm to Fleet program. BIO's Brent Erickson postulated that "The Navy’s leadership in procuring advanced biofuels will encourage rapid scale up of new technologies and construction of capacity." He went on to say that "The USDA can help to build the necessary supply chains of sustainable, renewable biomass supplies."
