BIO was disappointed to learn that CA Governor Jerry Brown vetoed legislation, Senate Bill 598, designed to address regulatory issues related to interchangeability of biological medicines. Vetoed bill aligned with all 5 BIO principles on biologic substitution, properly preserved patient access to accurate prescription information, maintained incentives for innovation, and promoted competitive market for biologic therapies.
