BIO President and CEO Jim Greenwood issued statement regarding re-introduction of the Innovation Act by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA). BIO supports targeted reforms to reign in abusive patent enforcement practices, but any effort to accomplish this must be done in a way that preserves patent-based incentives necessary to sustain nation’s global leadership in biotechnology innovation and creation of high-wage, high-value jobs throughout country.
