BOEM to launch lease sale for oil and gas development in US Gulf of Mexico

The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is to offer around 47 million acres in offshore Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama for oil and gas exploration and development in the Gulf of Mexico as part of a lease sale in March 2017.
