(Telecompaper) Indian state-run operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has cut its roaming tariff by up to 40 percent for its prepaid and postpaid mobile subscribers. The price reductions are effective 1 May, The Economic Times reports. BSNL's roaming rates for incoming calls have now dropped by 40 percent, while for STD, the reduction was of 23 percent. The operator has reduced tariffs for local calls by 20 percent, while local and national SMS rates have been cut by 75 percent.
