Bayer sues Mylan over plans for generic cancer treatment drug

Bayer Healthcare LLC is suing Mylan Inc. over the Southpointe drugmaker's application to make a generic version of cancer treatment Nexavar. Mylan confirmed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Delaware by Bayer Healthcare LLC, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Onyx Pharmaceuticals over Mylan's abbreviated new drug application to the Food and Drug Administration for a 200 mg Sorafenib tablet.
