Belpre doll factory building sees interest

A potential tenant for the former Middleton Doll facility in Belpre visited the site with city officials Monday, although issues remain to be addressed before a decision can be made, Mayor Mike Lorentz said Monday. In a report he presented Monday evening to Belpre City Council, Lorentz said he and other city officials met with representatives of a Chinese metals company for several hours Monday, along with representatives from the Southeastern Ohio Port Authority in Marietta and the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce.
