Big Heart Pet Brands closing North Shore operation

The Big Heart Pet Brands operation on Pittsburgh's North Shore will be closing up shop by early 2016, a move affecting about 225 workers. The J.M. Smucker Co., which bought the pet food business earlier this year, said it plans to consolidate the work done here into its Orrville, Ohio, headquarters by April 30, 2016.
