Dealers are finding that new lighting technologies bring energy efficiency and cost savings quickly that justify the transition and that there are several incentive programs out there to look at. Working closely with specialized vendors can streamline the process. Bill Cole Automall had a problem: an expensive older bulb sign that cost over $1,000 per month to run. The dealership loved the advertising capability of the sign, but not the rising electricity costs. The dealership brought in local sign dealer Todd Hardy MC Sign Co. to install an energy efficient Watchfire LED sign. The Bill Cole Automall executive leadership decided to upgrade their old sign to an XVS 19mm sign. A big incentive was that the purchase qualified them for a rebate.
