Biotech experts question cost legislation

Biotechnology experts agree the high cost of developing medications must be addressed, but said legislation to require disclosure of development costs is not the solution. Only 12 percent of drugs that start clinical testing reach the market, and it takes 10 to 15 years to get them there, according to Kenneth Kaitin, director of the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development.
