(Telecompaper) French operator Bouygues Telecom will include calls, SMS and mobile internet when roaming in Europe and French overseas counties free in its Sensation mobile plans from 24 January. The Sensation plans start at EUR 29.99 a month for unlimited calls and SMS with 3GB of data and no handset or tie-in period, or EUR 36.99 with a smartphone. The step by Bougyes to include roaming in the monthly allowance follows rival Free Mobile's offer of inclusive roaming in Italy, Portugal and the DOMs for 35 days a year at no extra charge. Bouygues highlights as a major advantage for its customers the fact that they will no longer need to switch off their phone's mobile data setting when they cross a border and can continue to use their favourite apps without fear of bill shock. Orange France is reportedly also considering a move to include roaming on other Orange networks abroad as part of its monthly plans.
