To meet demands of alternative energy and other heavy-duty applications, Vishay Draloric ULDCR stainless steel braking/crowbar resistors feature pulse energy capability up to 3.46 MJ and pulse current capability up to 12 kA. Higher pulse load capacity versions, built to specifications, are available. For single pulse, devices feature temperature rise below 350°C typ. Resistance ranges from 1 mΩ to several ohms, and self-supported design features saltwater-resistant component materials.
