Bridge Replacement in 10 Hours
2015-11-05 22:15:13| Railroads - Topix.net
The bridge modules had ballast curbs, walkways, and handrails pre-installed, so the track crew was able to come in immediately and install the track panels and ballast. On Oct. 22, 2014, and within a 10-hour traffic block, Canadian Pacific Railway crews replaced the existing bridge at a Fernie, B.C., location with the first-ever use of Hillman Composite Beam technology for railroad-revenue service.
