Broadcom (NASDAQ: BRCM) has introduced a family of integrated system-on-chip devices (SoCs) that add High Definition (HD) High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) for hybrid cable, direct broadcast satellite (DBS), terrestrial and IP set-top boxes (STBs).
